I appreciate your visit to our website. My name is David, and I have been happily married for over 30 years. Unfortunately, five years ago, I lost my first wife to illness. We had a son together who is now 27 years old. I have since remarried a remarkable, Godly Christian woman. She has been a dedicated high school teacher for over 16 years and holds a master's degree in education. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral education program. Together, we have a delightful three-year-old daughter who brings immense joy to our lives.
My faith journey began on June 10, 1979, when I was saved and subsequently baptized on June 24, 1979. At the age of 18, I felt the Lord's calling to become a preacher during a Christian Camp. I spent three formative years at Bible College, where I honed my skills in preaching and serving the Lord. My military career, spanning 22 years, was interrupted during my time at Bible college when I was called up to Active Duty due to my military specialty. As a combat veteran, I served in various combat roles, gaining unique skills that I now apply in my life and work.
Throughout my journey, I have learned the importance of faith, resilience, and perseverance. The loss of my first wife was a challenging time in my life, but through faith
and the support of loved ones, I found the strength to move forward. My remarriage to a wonderful woman brought new blessings and happiness, showing me that God's plan is always greater than our own. As a preacher, I have been able to share my faith and experiences with others, spreading the message of hope and love.
My military service has also played a significant role in shaping who I am today. The years spent in combat roles and non combat roles taught me valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and courage. These experiences have translated into my everyday life, where I strive to approach challenges with a strong and resilient mindset. The skills acquired during my military career have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth, allowing me to navigate various obstacles with determination and grace.
During my military service, I have had the privilege of experiencing a wide range of challenges and opportunities that have shaped my professional journey. In the military, I honed my leadership skills, learned the value of teamwork, and developed a strong sense of discipline and dedication. These experiences have not only prepared me for the rigors of military life but have also equipped me with valuable skills that I have been able to apply in various aspects of my life after retirement. After retiring from the military, I have continued to stay engaged in activities that allow me to contribute to society and make a positive impact. Whether through volunteering, mentoring, or pursuing further education, I have remained committed to serving others and giving back to the community and giving back to my local church.
My time in the military instilled in me a sense of duty and responsibility that has carried over into my post-retirement endeavors, driving me to continually seek ways to support and uplift those around me. Moreover, the transition from military life to civilian life has presented its own set of challenges and opportunities. I have had to adapt to a different pace of life, navigate unfamiliar environments, and redefine my sense of purpose. However, through perseverance and a willingness to embrace change, I have been able to successfully transition into this new chapter of my life, all the while drawing on the lessons and values instilled in me during my military service and serving my heavenly Father
With the experiences and knowledge gained throughout my life, including the skills acquired through my education at Bible College and my Military Education, I have been driven by a strong desire to bring hope and support to inmates and their families. The journey to make a positive impact in their lives has been both challenging and rewarding.
