Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

An introductory note from the CEO and Founder:

This verse serves as a reminder that God can work in unseen ways, bringing beauty out of brokenness. It also suggests that He can create new paths in life, even in places that seem like deserts or wildernesses. Related themes include God's mercy, promises to comfort the church, omnipotence, and deliverance of His people.

In our walk with the Lord, He helps and guides us through life's challenges and resets. He always takes good care of us and shows us the path He wants us to follow. I believe God gives us signs to warn us of things to come and prepare us for them. Sometimes these signs come through preaching, reading the Bible, music, or occurrences in our daily lives. This brief Bible reflection can offer guidance during life's shifts.

There are several examples in the Bible where people failed to heed God's warnings. I would like to highlight two significant ones. The first is Noah, and the Ark. God gave Noah the plan to build an ark because a flood was coming. He warned others about the impending rain and the need to prepare, but they did not listen. As a result, they missed the opportunity to board the ark.

If God can use a donkey to get Balaam’s attention (Numbers 22:21-35), then we can trust that He can speak to us in all sorts of ways! It’s important to stay open and aware to catch what God is trying to share with us. Before diving into the rest of this memoir/blog, take a moment to read these scriptures. I hope they help guide your thoughts!

Ecclesiastes 3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Isaiah 43:18–19

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Are you feeling a bit restless? Like something is stirring inside you that you can’t quite put your finger on? Maybe you sense that God is nudging you toward a new path, but you’re unsure what that path looks like or where it might lead. It’s normal to hesitate to make big moves without a clear sign from Him!

One of the best ways to know that God guides you is when He starts communicating with you—through His Word or the people around you. Another approach involves acknowledging certain events that occur in life. If you keep feeling that God is speaking to you about something specific, there’s a good chance He’s trying to show you the way. But what should you do when you feel a change is on the horizon but don’t have a clear direction yet?

The great news is that God is always faithful in providing guidance when you actively seek Him. A few key signs can help you determine if He’s leading you into a new season.

Let’s dive into some of these signs:

1. You're Feeling God's Prompting

You might be sensing a little excitement inside you, like God is getting ready to do something amazing in your life! This could mean He’s inviting you to take a leap of faith, even if you’re unsure where that leap will land. Remember, as the saying goes, "You don’t need to see the whole staircase; just take the first step." God often reveals the next step rather than laying out the entire journey. Why? Because He knows we might get overwhelmed with all the details, and He wants us to trust Him and walk by faith.

So, if you feel God nudging you to take that first step, ask Him for the courage to do it. Trust that He’ll light the way for each new step as you continue to follow Him.

2. Facing a Tough Situation

Sometimes, God uses challenging circumstances to gently guide us in a new direction. You might be facing a tough season and feeling stuck, or it may seem like you've hit a brick wall in your current situation.

While it can be hard to see now, God often uses these tough times to realign our hearts with His and help us change our paths.

If you find yourself in a difficult situation, take a moment to ask God what He might be teaching you through it. Don’t hesitate to contact trusted friends or family for wise counsel—people who can share God’s truth. Remember to pray for His peace and wisdom as you navigate the challenges, and keep your heart open to His guidance. You’re not alone in this journey!

3. Feeling Restless and Unsettled

It’s completely normal to feel a bit discontent from time to time. You might find yourself comparing your life to others or feeling stuck in a routine with no way out. But if you’re experiencing a sudden sense of restlessness, it could be a sign that God is nudging you toward something new and exciting!

You might feel like you’re in a season of waiting, ready for a change, sensing that God is about to do something amazing, but unsure about what or when it will happen.

If you’re feeling restless, see it as a gentle reminder to seek God. Ask Him to show you what He’s doing and to fill your heart with His peace as you wait for the next step.

4. Doors Closing in Your Current Situation

Noticing doors closing can prove that God is guiding you into a fresh season. If you see some opportunities slipping away, it could mean that God points you in a different direction.

Maybe this change is something you've been praying about, where God is gradually shutting the door on your old circumstances. Or perhaps it’s a sudden shift, like losing a job or ending a relationship. Either way, take a moment to seek God’s confirmation on these changes, and remember that He has something even better waiting for you!

5. Being Stretched Beyond Your Comfort Zone

It could be God’s way of preparing you for something new and wonderful if you feel like you're being stretched beyond your comfort zone. Getting cozy in our routines is easy, but sometimes God shakes things up to help us grow and learn.

This stretching might show up as more chances for personal growth or learning new things. It could be sharing your faith with someone or telling your story about what God has done in your life. Or it might involve bigger changes like moving to a new place or starting a new business. While it might feel scary, it’s also a thrilling adventure!

No matter what changes are on the horizon, trust that God will give you the courage and strength to take that leap of faith. Follow His lead with confidence!

6. A Fresh Longing to Do Something Different

Are you feeling a new desire to do something different? That could be God planting a fresh dream or vision in your heart! You might want to pursue something you’ve never considered, but it feels right.

God often uses our dreams and passions to guide us toward His plan. If you’re feeling this new pull, take some time to pray and seek God’s confirmation about what He might be calling you to do.

7. A Decision Happening in Your Life

Sometimes it feels like God puts us in situations that ask us to make tough decisions, even when we’re not quite ready for them. It's okay to say no when you need to! It’s important for us to think about what we need to do to embrace this new path or shift in our lives. That’s why taking time to pray and seek advice from others can be so helpful. Changes like this often require some planning, not just for ourselves but for our families, too. Saying no gives us the chance to prepare for the amazing plan God has in store for us! Just as He revealed to Noah what was to come, Noah then took the time to plan and prepare for the future. He’s letting us catch a glimpse of our future too. The good news is that I believe these moments are like little nudges from God, encouraging us to prepare for something wonderful ahead—our divine upgrade! Meanwhile, prepare to say yes and embrace the divine upgrade.

So let’s watch for those warning signs and be open to making the changes we need to make. You never know; you might be on the brink of something amazing!

Let's go ahead and wrap this up, shall we?

These are just a few ways God can lead you in a new direction. Following His guidance can feel like piecing together a fun puzzle. As you seek Him, trust He will reveal His plans for you. Stay open to His promptings, and remember that He has amazing things in store for you. So, don’t hesitate—take that first step of faith!
